As we fully enter the spring season, the news keeps coming thick and fast. Much of our recent press coverage has focused on the Budget 2017, and the resulting ramifications for HR. Our CEO, Oliver Shaw, has had his say on the recent attention the Government has placed on skills, with the introduction of ‘T Levels’ for those aged 16 to 19 who plan to go into a technical field. He stresses the importance of HR professionals in nurturing and developing talent across future generations:
There has also been some discussion around HR business partner models struggling to work in reality and lacking in strategic value. Helen Stead, our senior HR business partner, disagrees, and argues that when implemented in the correct way with the right capabilities behind it, such a model can still be highly effective in a business setting.
